Manicures originated 5,000 years ago. French manicures are designed to look like natural nails. The tips of the nails are coated white while the rest of the nails are polished in a pink or appropriate nude shade. French manicures may have began in the 18th century in Paris and were prevalent in the 1920s and 1930s. Nowadays many different colors are available in the market from dark red, to blue, to even green and the most requested beige or tan colors.
Manicure and Pedicure Involves
In manicure and pedicure cuticle remover will be applied on your nails. Through this, cuticles will be softened and nails will be pushed, cleaned from under then trimmed. Followed by a sanitized nipper which, will be used to remove dead skin mostly found on the side. After all of that is done, nails will be brushed to remove the cuticle and dead skin taken out and the excess nail filings. Then a massage is performed for a few minutes. When nails are clean and ready and the hand or feet are relaxed, nail polish is applied. First the base coat, then two coatings of the chosen color then a top coat. Base and top coats are normally colorless in nature. When it is dry, fingernails and toenails look shiny and flawless! The whole process can take an hour or less. For local nail polish, cost is P275 while for imported (Revlon) it is P375, for OPI it is P425.
